We at Mynnaf Translations are specialists in pharmaceutical and medical translations, offering all major European languages into English and vice versa. We are experts in the requirements of translating EMA-related product information (SmPCs, package leaflets), regulatory documentation, clinical trial literature and general medical translations.
We speak your language:
From the offset, we establish with the customer exactly what is required. For example, this may involve translation of older SmPCs and PILs according to the pre-2011 QRD templates, or updates/translations to the latest templates. Such dialogue helps to contextualise customer needs and obviate subsequent problems.
Who we are:
The company is headed by Mr. David Timms, who has been translating since graduating from the University of Sheffield in 1987 in French, German and Dutch. Working for Boehringer Mannheim France (Meylan and Bagnolet, Paris) between 1992 and 1995, Mr. Timms is acutely aware of the pitfalls of translating medical and pharmaceutical documentation, especially for submission to the regulatory authorities. “Compliance with EMA specifications and terminology is often overlooked or simply ignored”, says Mr. Timms. “Furthermore, it is my experience that originally EMA-compliant translations are often marred by less experienced editors who make changes without knowing what’s required.”
Associate partner is Mr. Philip Hunt. At Mynnaf, Mr. Hunt is responsible for quality, finance and business development. He has a life science (Plymouth Polytechnic) and linguistic background, having also lived in France between 1990-1995, where he dedicated himself to literature and occasional teaching, including in-house to staff at a blue-chip pharmaceutical and biotechnical company in Paris.
